Respawn Entertainment has announced Apex Legends Season 11 – Escape, unveiling Titanfall 2 villain Ash as the next playable Legend.
As per the norm, the season was introduced by a slick Stories from the Outlands animated trailer titled Ashes to Ash. All of the Stories from the Outlands trailers have been visually impressive, but this one holds extra weight, as it finally confirms that the murderous simulacrum Ash will be stepping away from the Arena and joining the Apex Games.

A number of details about what players can expect from Season 11 have also been provided on the Apex website. Alongside the narrative bombshell about Dr Reed, it’s been confirmed that Ash is Season 11’s new playable Legend. Ash has been a part of Apex since Season 5, where players were tasked with reconstructing her destroyed head. Her role grew significantly during Season 9, where she became the overseer of the Arena. Very little is known about how Ash will play, but she is depicted as holding a sizeable sword, so it’s probably safe to assume that it’ll have something to do with her abilities.
Outside of the Ash reveal, it’s also been confirmed that a new weapon, the C.A.R. SMG, will be entering the loot pool. Lastly, the post teases that a storm is coming to the Outlands. Nothing more is said about this event, but it would likely be referencing a change to an existing map, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info on that.
The reveal trailer for Season 11 will release on October 21, with more details likely to follow. The season itself will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC on November 2.
