Apex Legends Season 13 – Saviors Has Been Announced; Bangalore’s Brother Joins The Roster

Respawn Entertainment has announced Apex Legends Season 13 – Saviors, revealing that the new Legend will be a familiar face going by the name Newcastle.

The reveal comes in the form of a sweet new launch trailer that gives us our first look at Newcastle, who is revealed to be Bangalore’s brother, Jackson Williams. During the trailer we get a sneak peek at Newcastle’s abilities, as he teams up with sister Bangalore and series clown Mirage as they try and take down a huge sea monster (more on that in a tick).

First off, we see Newcastle use a mobile shield as his tactical, protecting the team from enemy fire. Next, the newcomer uses his passive to drag a downed Pathfinder out of harm’s way as the battle wears on. Lastly, we see Newcastle use his Ultimate, leaping forward and slamming down a large shield to absorb incoming damage. It’s important to mention that these abilities are exactly what was outlined in the huge Apex leak that came out last month, so the rest of that info drop may be legit.

As I said, this whole trailer focuses on the Legends taking on a gigantic sea monster that Respawn has been teasing on their socials recently. The collective might of the Legends brings down this beastie and the Apex website confirms that its carcass will be present on the Storm Point map in Season 13, bringing with it new dangers. Also worth noting, are the bunkers that are briefly seen in the trailer that contains loot protected by Spectres, which are more or less weaponised MRVNs.

One last piece of good news is that we’re getting a new Stories from the Outlands trailer, titled Hero, on April 28. No doubt it’ll be visually impressive and pivotal to the ongoing Apex narrative, just like the previous stories.
