Cricket 24 Has Been Officially Revealed

Head to the crease

Big Ant Studios has revealed Cricket 24, set to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One in June and on Switch in November.

Dubbed the Official Game of The Ashes, Cricket 24 will feature over 200 players from across various teams, including Australia, England, New Zealand, India, Ireland and more. Players will be able to step up to the crease in over 50 stadiums and take part in globally famous tournaments such as The Ashes, The KFC Big Bash League and The Caribbean Premier League.

As the subtitle suggests, Cricket 24 will have a strong focus on the most well-known contest in cricket: The Ashes. Playing as an individual player or the Australian or English side, players will compete in matches, watch cutscenes and take part in conferences and training sessions, all in hopes of bagging the urn.

A new career mode will also be on offer, challenging players to take their cricketer from local clubs to the bright lights of international cricket. With systems getting an overhaul, such as a completely revamped fielding mechanic, Cricket 24 will set itself apart from the last entry back in 2019.

According to the Tweet from Cricket Australia, Cricket 24 will be released “in time for this year’s Ashes,” which begins on June 16, so we’ll likely be batting, bowling and, ergh, fielding early in the month of June.
