Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine Is A Super Meat Boy Spin-Off Coming Later This Year

Match-four with a twist

Publisher Thunderful Publishing and developers Team Meat and Headup Development have announced Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine, an action-puzzle game coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC in 2023.

A spin-off of the incredibly popular platformer Super Meat Boy, Mean Meat Machine is a match-four puzzler that’s set in the same universe as the beloved and bloody original. Focusing on the exploits of the titular villain after the events of Super Meat Boy, players will guide colourful pairs of Meat Boy clones down a grid filled with buzzsaws, missiles, chainsaws and other death-dealing devices in hopes of matching together four of the same coloured meaty men to clear the row.

Yes, this is Tetris or Puyo Puyo in style, but the Meat Boy twist adds a layer of action to the typical puzzle fair, and it looks like a lot of fun.
