Eagle-Eyed Players Think Naughty Dog Are Teasing Their Next Game In The Last Of Us Part I

The Last of Us Part I has been in the player’s hands for less than a week, but that hasn’t stopped avid fans from painstakingly combing through the game to find new, hidden secrets.

One such secret has fans speculating that it might be a tease, hinting at a new IP that developer Naughty Dog could be working on. As pointed out by the Twitter account Naughty Dog Central, several posters within the game depict what looks to be a warrior, a dragon, a pegasus and a few other mythical creatures. This all points to a fantasy setting, which would be a welcome departure from Naughty Dog’s last few releases if this is a tease.

This clearly isn’t a hard confirmation or reveal, but Naughty Dog has a track record for teasing their upcoming project within their games. In Uncharted 3, a newspaper headline read, “Scientists are still struggling to understand delay fungus.” We didn’t know then, but this is a clear reference to The Last of Us, so these posters may be doing the same for a new IP.
