Developer Myrkur Games has revealed Echoes of the End, an action-adventure title coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC later this year.
Revealed during the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, Echoes of the End is a third-person narrative action game set in the world of Aema, a fantasy land inspired by real-world Iceland. As Ryn, a warrior with a connection to ancient magic, players will explore the mystical lands, engage in fast-paced melee combat, solve puzzles, and interact with a cast of characters in what’s promised to be a cinematic, character-driven story.
Combat and traversal are spiced up with Ryn’s magical abilities, allowing her to double jump and air dash, as well as manipulate gravity and seemingly reverse the effects of time. The debut trailer gives us a decent first look at the game’s meaty-looking combat as Ryn hacks, slashes, and manipulates a variety of human and non-human enemies around the battlefield.
