Developer Codemasters and publisher EA have announced F1 2022, set to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on July 1.
Announced on the Formula 1 website, the newest entry into the F1 series will include a number of new features that are sure to make racing fans very happy. Firstly, F1 2022 will have VR functionality for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift on PC, putting players right in the cockpit. There’s no word on if PSVR will be supported just yet though. The new Miami circuit will debut in 2022, with layout changes to Australia and Abu Dhabi also being made to bring them up to their real-world equivalents.
F1 Sprint events and the new era of Formula 1 cars will also be added alongside new rules. Lastly, F1 2022 is set to introduce F1 Life, a new mode with a “customisable hub to show off supercars, clothing and accessories earned via gameplay, Podium Pass and the in-game store.”
