Forspoken Gets A New Cinematic Trailer Filled With Magic And Drama

Athia Awaits

Developer Square Enix and publisher Square Enix have released a cinematic trailer for the upcoming action-adventure game, Forspoken.

The short, one-minute trailer shows protagonist Frey Holland being chased through the streets of New York, intercut with a similar, yet all the more magical, chase through the lands of Athia. Packed with flashy spells and lots of drama, the trailer certainly builds a level of hype towards Forspoken ahead of its January 24 release.

Forspoken launches on PS5 and PC on January 24.

In our preview of the game, we said, “Forspoken’s movement and especially its combat show off the PlayStation 5 at its best and needs to be played with the DualSense to really feel the power. If Frey’s journey and personality can get some meaningful context that explains and legitimises her potty mouth, this may be 2023’s first significant blockbuster title.”
