The third episode of Marvel’s Midnight Suns five-episode animated prequel series has just dropped today, this time focusing on one of the poor souls possessed by the Spirit of Vengeance. Centred on young Robbie Reyes, just one of a handful to have shared the mantle of the Ghost Rider, the episode shows the Dodge Charger-driving hero’s path to recruitment in the original Midnight Suns team before the game’s events.
Titled “Hell on Wheel”, the CG short shows the Hell Charger in action as Reyes dispatches a gang of common thugs in the streets. We get to see his enchanted chains in action, as well as the spookier side of the Spirit of Vengeance.
The short ends with Robbie being recruited into the Midnight Suns by the Caretaker and Magik, likely setting up for a showdown with Lillith in the coming two shorts.
