Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Has Been Revealed; Playtests Taking Place Later This Month

Brooms at the ready

Warner Bros. Games has announced Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, a multiplayer sporting title set in the Wizarding World.

Announced via a short trailer attached to a Twitter post, the newly revealed title will be a competitive multiplayer game where players will customise their own characters and take part in the titular wizarding sport. With roles like Chasers, Beaters, Seekers and Keepers, Quidditch is the magical equivalent of AFL, but with broomsticks, balls that chase you and a small golden sphere that awards an instant win when caught. Alright, it’s nothing like AFL.

The game is being developed by Unbroken Studios, the team working alongside Rocksteady on the console versions of Suicided Squad: Kill the Justice League, and will be relating on PC and unspecified platforms on a yet-to-be-announced date.

While there is precious little info on the game at this stage, there will be a limited playtest running between April 21-22. If you’re keen on participating in this playtest, you can register your interest through the game’s official website. This won’t guarantee a spot in the playtest, but you’re better off putting your name in (the Goblet of Fire) than sitting on the sidelines.
