Arrowhead Game Studio has announced Helldivers 2, coming to PS5 and PC in 2023.
Revealed during this morning’s PlayStation Showcase, Helldivers 2 is a sequel to the excellent 2015 twin-stick shooter. Taking place on Super Earth, a squad of up to four players in co-op will be tasked with dispatching waves upon waves of insectoid enemies with a variety of beefy weapons and huge, scree-wiping abilities.
As a sequel, the game is going bigger in every way, but the most drastic change is the perspective. The original game had players controlling their soldiers from an isometric viewpoint, whereas Helldivers 2 will be a third-person shooter, bringing you even closer to the action.
