Hunt: Showdown Coming To Xbox Game Preview

Xbox, get ready to hunt

German developer Crytek has been in a bit of console lull of late, with their last console game the PSVR title Robinson: The Journey coming at the end of 2016. Before that we have to go all the way back to the launch of the Xbox One in 2013 with Ryse: Son of Rome releasing exclusively on the console.

That drought is about to be over finally, with the German outfit announcing overnight that their cooperative first-person PvP/PvE shooter Hunt: Showdown will be coming to Xbox’s Game Preview program. Hunt pits five teams of two on a large map against one another in a race to banish the demon and reap the bounty rewards. We’ve been playing the game on Steam and have been loving our time with the Early Access title. No launch date information has been revealed.

Hunt Producer Fatih Özbayram had this to say about the announcement:

Bringing Hunt: Showdown to Xbox Game Preview means getting the game in front of a whole new audience, and we can’t wait to hear the feedback that Xbox players bring to the game and the community. This is another important step in taking our development to the next level, and we’re glad we can share this announcement with you.
