Like A Dragon: Ishin! Will Feature Guest Cameos From AEW’s Kenny Omega And Actor Rahul Kohli

The One-Winged Angel lends a hand

Publisher SEGA and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that AEW wrestler Kenny Omega and actor Rahul Kohli will make guest appearances in the upcoming Like a Dragon: Ishin!

Omega and Kohli are the first two of six total cameos that will appear in-game as Trooper Cards. Essentially, Trooper Cards are summon abilities that allow the player to call on allies to aid them in battle, resulting in special attacks and buffs that are as flashy as they are effective.

Kenny Omega is arguably one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet and is currently a part of the AEW roster. An avid gamer himself, Omega’s Trooper Card ability is called the Essence of the One-Winged Angel, named after the Best Bout Machine’s own finishing move (which was named after Final Fantasy VII’s Sephiroth). This powerful attack imbues the player’s sword with energy before being swung in a 360-degree slash, damaging all surrounding foes.

Going from the squared circle to the silver screen, we have actor Rahul Kohli, known for his roles in Midnight Mass, iZombie and The Haunting of Bly Manor. Another fellow gamer, Kohli’s Trooper Card, named the Essence of Firestorm, reflects his brash, younger years, as he admits. When called upon, the move has the player throw a giant, all-consuming column of flame in front of them, dealing huge amounts of damage to all enemies caught in its area.
