Developer Digital Sun and publisher 11 Bit Studios has announced Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2025.
Revealed during the PC Gaming Showcase, The Endless Vault is a direct sequel to the 2018 roguelike indie hit, with significant gameplay and presentation changes. Much like the original, you’ll play as Will, an adventurer who slays monsters, delves into dungeons by night and sells the treasures he collects in his shop during the day. The sequel takes place in the new township of Tresna, but that’s not where the differences end.
Where the first game was a top-down, pixel-art affair, The Endless Vault switches to an isometric view with far more detailed visuals and a gorgeous colour palette. The new dimension will undoubtedly change how combat and exploration feel, while the change in art style boosts the sequel’s production value.

We were positive in our Moonlighter review, giving it an 8 and saying, “Moonlighter is a gorgeous, addictive amalgamation of grindy dungeon crawler and economic sim with a lighthearted but intriguing tale and a definite “one more go” vibe.”
