New Atomic Heart Gameplay Trailer Released, Featuring Beats By Mick Gordon

For a while there things had gone pretty dark around Russian developer Mundfish’s upcoming Soviet-era horror FPS Atomic Heart. That is, until now, with the debut of a brand-new gameplay trailer and some solid new details courtesy of the studio and IGN.

The ‘Meet Plyush’ trailer shows off some of the game’s unsettling environments and robotic characters, as well as a mini-boss fight with an intensely creepy monster called Plyush. It also brings with it the reveal of a collaboration with none other than Mick Gordon for the game’s music, which is a huge deal. You can hear a sampling of this in the trailer itself.

Mundfish also spoke to IGN about the targeted release platforms, stating that although the game will be releasing on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One it’s primarily a next-gen game and will feature no loading screens and stunning visuals on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Check out the new trailer below:

Kieron started gaming on the SEGA Master System, with Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy. The 20-odd years of his life since have not seen his love for platformers falter even slightly. A separate love affair, this time with JRPGs, developed soon after being introduced to Final Fantasy VIII (ie, the best in the series). Further romantic subplots soon blossomed with quirky Japanese games, the occasional flashy AAA action adventure, and an unhealthy number of indie gems. To say that Kieron lies at the center of a tangled, labyrinthine web of sexy video game love would be an understatement.
