The release schedule is starting to look scary, but we aren’t quite in the ultra-busy season just yet, so we’ll need some bits and pieces to keep us busy. The most recent PlayStation Plus Catalogue update gave us the indie banger Sword of the Sea, so I hope everyone has done their homework and enjoyed that beautiful little slice of calming goodness. I have the names of those who haven’t, and I’ll be speaking to you after class. Anyway, let’s move on from that laboured bit and get to the good stuff.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for Extra and Deluxe members will be updated on September 16, adding eight new titles to these tiers.
PlayStation Plus Extra/Deluxe
- WWE 2K25
- Persona 5 Tactica
- Green Hell
- Fate/Samurai Remnant
- Crow Country
- The Invincible
- Conscript
PlayStation Plus Deluxe
- Legacy of Kain: Defiance
Ok, so I’ve reviewed quite a few of the annualised WWE games during my tenure with teal towers, and each has progressively improved on the last since the disastrous 2K20. The latest instalment is no exception, offering tighter and more refined gameplay and some new match types that will keep wrestling fans happy…just make sure you avoid the microtransaction farm that is The Island mode. It’s rubbish, so don’t bother.
With my wrestling love out of the way, I also want to spotlight the exceptional Australian-made horror game on this list: Conscript. Developed by Catchweight Studio, Conscript is an old-school isometric survival horror game set in 1916 during the First World War. We loved it, giving it a nine in our review, and even had the chance to sit down with the game’s creator, Jordan Mochi, during an episode of Talkthrough that you can watch right here:
What do you think of this update to the catalogue? What games would you like to see added next? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
