Tactical VR Shooter Firewall Ultra Gets An August Release Date

August goes Ultra

Developer First Contact Entertainment has announced that its tactical squad-based shooter, Firewall Ultra, will be releasing exclusively on PSVR 2 on August 24.

Revealed last September, Firewall Ultra is a competitive squad-based shooter that pits two teams of four operators against each other in tight and explosive firefights. Building upon the last entry in the series, Firewall: Zero Hour, Ultra will feature an array of weapons and gadgets, various playable Contractors, each with their own skills and abilities, and a range of maps and game modes to play, including PvP and PvE.

Ultra will also take advantage of the PSVR 2’s impressive features, such as utilising the headsets eye-tracking tech to avoid being blinded by a flashbang or feeling the feedback of your firearm through the Sense controller’s haptics. The game is available to pre-order now, with two versions on offer. The standard edition is $59.95 and comes with the base game itself, or there’s the digital deluxe edition for $94.95, which includes an early unlock for four Contractors, four outfits, four weapon camos and the Operation Pass that entitles you to the game’s post-launch content.

A new gameplay trailer dropped alongside the announcement, highlighting the game’s frenetic combat. You can watch the gameplay trailer here:
