It feels like The Pathless has been a long time coming. That might be partly down to the game’s past delays, but I’d also chalk it up to just how damned keen I am to get my hands on it. From the team behind the bloody excellent ABZÛ, there’s plenty of reason to get excited about The Pathless. A mysterious world with a gorgeous aesthetic, an original and satisfying-looking archery/movement mechanic and a mighty eagle companion (bird companions in games are an automatic win) all have the WellPlayed team keen as mustard.
It’s good news then, that The Pathless now has an official release date – and it’s not far off at all! The game is releasing this November 12 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via the Epic Games Store and Apple Arcade. For those playing at home (or on the go), this means that the game is technically a launch title for the PS5. Yay!
At this stage, neither publisher Annapurna Interactive or developer Giant Squid has clarified of the game will have any purchase/save data transfer between the current and next-gen PlayStation versions, but they have promised to clarify price and retail SKU details in the near future so hopefully we’ll know more soon.
for those asking about pricing or a retail version, we have good news coming later this month 😊
