The Quarry Is A New Teen-Horror Game From Until Dawn Developer Supermassive Games

The humble camp council is never safe

Developer Supermassive Games and publisher 2K has announced The Quarry, a new teen-horror game coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on July 10.

From the team behind Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology, The Quarry is a horror narrative experience that will see players make decisions both big and small that will change the outcome of the story.

After all of the kids leave summer camp at Hackett’s Quarry, the nine teenage counsellors decide to throw a huge party that quickly turns sour. Pursued by crazed locals and an unseen horror, the teens are forced to think on their feet and make harsh decisions that could mean the difference between life and death. Featuring an absolutely stacked cast consisting of David Arquette, Ariel Winter, Justice Smith, Brenda Song, Lance Henriksen and Lin Shay among others, The Quarry is packed with recognisable and beloved horror icons.

You’ll play as each of the nine counsellors, attempting to survive the night, but much like Supermassive’s previous titles, characters can die at any time, with the game continuing on in their wake. If you’re feeling trusting, you can invite up to seven friends online to watch along and vote on major decisions, or even play in local couch co-op where you each take control of a counsellor. For those who prefer a more passive experience, The Quarry will feature a number of difficulty options, including one that turns the game into more of an interactive film.
