After a slow start, Sony’s E3 2018 showcase kicked into gear with some high-profile third-party announcements, including the remake of the greatest game ever made, Resident Evil 2. And my god does it look incredible. This modern rendition of Capcom’s critically acclaimed title has been completely rebuilt from the ground up in the company’s RE Engine to give old and new fans alike the chance to relive Leon and Claire’s trek through the zombie-infested streets of Raccoon City.
Showcasing an over-the-shoulder camera, new-look characters and photorealistic visuals, REmake2 (as I’m coining it) will launch on January 25, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Like the original, both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield will have separate playable campaigns, letting the player see how the story unfolds from each character’s perspective.
Personally, this is hands-down the best announcement of E3, and I cannot wait to relive the horror of Raccoon City all over again,

Despite a childhood playing survival horrors, point and clicks and beat ’em ups, these days Zach tries to convince people that Homefront: The Revolution is a good game while pining for a sequel to The Order: 1886 and a live-action Treasure Planet film.
