The Rumblings Of A Red Dead Redemption Remaster Are Getting Louder

A bit too loud to ignore really

Some clever cowpokes are digging up a trail of clues that the long rumoured Red Dead Redemption remaster may well be preparing to surface.

Firstly, the keen eyes of Tez2 noticed that an update to Rockstar’s website net them a glance at an amended and updated logo for the OG cowboy adventure, now with the added moniker of ‘ROCKSTAR GAMES PRESENTS’ slapped onto it:

Curiously this was listed as new entry on the site as far as titles go, rather than a replacement of the original RDR game listing. It even had a different name for it’s index, mentioning “RDR1RSP”, and the title “Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar Presents Ver).”

It’d take some fancy shooting to convince a crowd that this isn’t the news they have been hungry for – the only thing that seems to be lacking is a formal announcement.

There was also some other curious changes made in regards to platform tags, although even Tez2 is first to point out that this is in no way a proper indication of where the game may end up:

Couple this with a recent notice that the Korean ratings website actually has a recent enough listing (as in, this year) for Red Dead Redemption, it’s looking pretty dang likely that it’s going to finally happen.

For many, Red Dead Redemption is widely considered to be one of the greatest video games of all time – while it is still available to play in a variety of ways nowadays, a remaster and a jump to more platforms would only grow it’s fan base. Not to mention it would help bookend the incredible characters and world that persist between both it and it’s sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2.

Also – once the remaster is released, we can start hounding Rockstar for a remaster of Red Dead Revolver. Because why not.
