The Scourge Infestation Event Is Now Live In WoW Classic

Crates of grains for healthy braaains

Just to make sure your pre-patch experience wasn’t too healthy, Wrath of the Lich King Classic has kicked off the zombie invasion event.

Players will find inconspicuous crates of grain around their cities – and if they have a chow down they will develop a healthy appetite: FOR BRAINS.

The Scourge Infestation is an infamous event from the days of yore, and was the first of it’s kind to really encourage players to actively seek to dick over their fellow players.

Getting your own dose of plague and letting it incubate would allow a player to turn into a Plague Zombie – gaining new abilities and the ability to attack any other player or NPC. And of course the benefit of this is that you can then share your new found gift with others, inviting any and all to the plague party.

And for the smart players that realise that the cities are no longer safe – you can venture out and investigate scourge activity elsewhere in the world, slaying unique dungeon bosses and trying to get their unique loot.

The best part? There is no way to opt-out of this brain-hungry bonanza. You just need to weather the storm long enough to finally start your voyage to Northrend, hungering for adventure rather than frontal lobes.

Come to think of it, I am feeling a little peckish myself. Mind sparing some grey matter..?
