Webbed Swings Onto Consoles In February

Consoles have been caught in Sbug Games’ web

Webbed, the Aussie-made game from Brisbane-based developer Sbug Games, is launching on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on February 2, 2022.

It sees players assume the role of a female jumping spider who sets out to rescue her boyfriend after he’s abducted by a bower bird. It’s super wholesome and fun to play, with a neat pixel art aesthetic and fitting soundtrack.

It originally launched on PC in September of last year and was the winner of the award for Excellence in Gameplay at the Australian Game Developer Awards. I scored it an 8 in my review, saying that “Webbed is a simple and cute platformer that provides players with a few hours of enjoyment web-swinging through bushland and befriending other bugs all in the name of love.” It’s great that more people will be able to check this little gem out.

Now that Webbed is coming to more platforms, are you keen to take it for a spin? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
