2K and Visual Concepts have revealed a top-10 list of the new features and improvements that are coming to WWE 2K22 with a short gameplay trailer.
Ahead of a full reveal in January, this two-minute trailer gives us our first proper look at the game in action, while listing some of the new and returning modes and features that this release will include. The biggest and most important change come with the redesigned gameplay and animation engine, which will apparently allow for a smoother and more realistic experience. The game will also include improved visuals and a new control system that will be “easy to pick up and play, while still allowing for high-skill expression.”
Looking past the technical advancements, 2K22 will also be bringing back a fan-favourite mode in MyGM. Putting players in the suit and tie of the General Manager, you’ll have control over drafting, contacts and the booking of the product itself. Absent since WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008, its inclusion in 2K22 will make a lot of wrestling fans very happy.
MyRISE will have players creating their own wrestler and building them up from a rookie to a main event monster. Universe Mode will be returning, letting players book and play through episodes of Smackdown, Raw and numerous pay-per-views. A new mode, MyFACTION, will also make an appearance, giving players the ability to create and maintain a stable of Superstars. This mode will feature weekly events and will be supported with frequent updates. We’ll also see the 2K Showcase mode return that focuses on the career of a singular Superstar that will be announced soon.

WWE 2K22 hasn’t been confirmed for specific consoles as of yet, but it’s set to release in March 2022.
