WWE 2K23’s Soundtrack And John Cena Showcase Mode Have Been Revealed

2K has released new details on WWE 2K23‘s Showcase mode while also revealing the game’s soundtrack.

Since the game was announced last month, we’ve known that cover Superstar John Cena would be the focus of 2K23’s Showcase mode. Moreover, it was revealed that players wouldn’t be donning the colourful shirts and armbands of the invisible grappler but would be controlling some of his most famous opponents in matches throughout his 20-year career. Well, now we know exactly which matches and opponents players will be reenacting.

Here are all of the matches present within the WWE 2K23 Never Give Up Showcase mode:

• John Cena vs Kurt Angle (SmackDown 2002)
• John Cena vs Batista (SummerSlam 2008)
• John Cena vs Edge (SummerSlam 2006)
• John Cena vs Edge (New Year’s Revolution 2006)
• John Cena vs Triple H (Night of Champions 2008)
• John Cena vs Brock Lesnar (SummerSlam 2014)
• John Cena vs Brock Lesnar (Backlash 2003)
• John Cena vs The Undertaker (Vengeance 2003)
• John Cena vs Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell 2009)
• John Cena vs Roman Reigns (SummerSlam 2021)
• John Cena vs The Rock (WrestleMania 28)
• John Cena vs AJ Styles (SummerSlam 2016)
• John Cena vs The Undertaker (WrestleMania 34)
• John Cena vs Rob Van Dam (ECW One Night Stand 2006)

Having been around the block a number of times, Cena has a whole laundry list of excellent matches to draw from, but I’d say most of them are included here. If only his match against Lesnar from Extreme Rules 2012 was here, though; that way, we could correct the match and have The Beast go over. Anyway.

Additionally, 2K revealed the track list for 2K23 that the Doctor of Thuganomics himself curated. As always, the soundtrack isn’t particularly large, but it mainly plays when you’re navigating menus, so it’s not much of a sin. In saying that, there are some certified bangers here; nice work Cena
