Xbox has announced that its annual Xbox Games Showcase will be joined by a direct for The Outer Worlds 2. The extended broadcast will take place on June 9 at 3 a.m. AEST.
As detailed on Xbox Wire, the Xbox Games Showcase will be a digital-only event this year, with the presentation promising a look at “upcoming titles from across our first-party studios, in addition to incredible new titles from our third-party partners across the globe.”
Continuing the double-feature trend started by Starfield and locked in by Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, this time around, we’ll be getting a closer look at Obsidian’s next RPG with The Outer Worlds 2 Direct. Like the aforementioned breakdowns from Bethesda and Treyarch, the Direct will offer “new gameplay, details, and developer insights, straight from the people making the sequel to the award-winning, first-person sci-fi RPG.”
We’ve got another double feature this year!

It’s an early rise for us Aussies, but considering Xbox-owned studios are still cooking up some exciting new titles, it may well be worth the red eyes.
