VRooooom

PlayStation has announced that Gran Turismo 7 will receive PSVR2 support on launch, with a free update adding the feature.

Revealed at CES 2023 by President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Jim Ryan, GT7 will be another launch title for the upcoming PSVR2. As stated, the VR mode for GT7 will be added to the game with a free update on February 23, the day that the PSVR 2 launches.

A sneak peek at the Gran Turismo film was also provided alongside this announcement. Hitting theatres on August 11, the short teaser trailer shows off some cool filming techniques to capture the feel of the games while also providing some behind-the-scenes interviews with actors David Harbour, Orlando Bloom and Archie Madekwe.

In our review, we said, “Gran Turismo 7 is the culmination of Polyphony’s 25 years of dedication to the racing genre and the automotive industry, and the final result is nothing short of outstanding, with only minor nuisances stopping it short of a perfect lap.” We gave GT7 a 9.
