Popcorn buckets? Who on earth still looks at those things?
Everyone knows the hot item to see upcoming film reveals is to look at leaked toys, and what has surfaced of late is the Jakks Pacific Movie Collection box, which comes with a tantalising look at the ‘Hog of the hour – Shadow the Hedgehog.
The first look at Shadow's design in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie was spotted at the leaked toys by Jakks Pacific!

Fans are beyond hungry for a trailer, given that so far there has been next to nothing shared – beyond a look at Hedgehog feet (yes, you read that correctly) and casting announcements. Hell, we even have word that filming for the movie has wrapped, so they are officially in post-production in the approach of the films December release date.
So yeah, people are desperate for media – which is why people are meticulously cutting images of Shadow out of toy packaging and trying to Photoshop the perspective to be correct, if only to bask in some form of pre-release media:

Surprising no-one, Shadow looks the business for his big film role – though the question does have to be asked, how would he have looked if Sonic never received his game accurate redesign? Would ‘ugly’ Shadow have been similarly nightmarish to behold?
Perhaps the ‘Ugly Sonic’ cut can be the new #ReleaseTheSnyder campaign once we have all moved on.
By any metric, I look forward to the next feverish glimpse into the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 press cycle. Perhaps someone will go through a producers garbage and discover a napkin drawing of Rouge the Bat. Because why not.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is set to release December 20, 2024.
Are you excited to see Shadow’s live action debut? Sick of these weird articles that keep pointing out that we are long overdue for a trailer? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
