Ghost of Yōtei Legends Looks Amazing And It’s Coming Next Month

Legends rise again

Developer Sucker Punch Productions has announced that Ghost of Yōtei Legends, the co-op component to the action-adventure title, will be launching on Ps5 on March 11.

If you’ve played Ghost of Tsushima, then you’re probably familiar with the Legends mode. For those unaware, Legends is a four-player co-op mode that focuses on Japanese folklore and legends, rather than the grounded realism of the main game. In the Legends for Yōtei, players will embody one of four classes: Samurai, Archer, Mercenary, or Shinobi. Each class will have access to a katana and a ranged weapon, as well as one of the core weapon types from the base game. For instance, the Samurai will be able to utilise the massive ōdachi to deal with larger foes.

Legends will see your group of four take on demonic versions of the Yōtei Six across a series of 12 story missions. Completing three story missions will unlock an Incursion, which is a larger mission type that sees you and your team assault a stronghold and go face-to-face with one of the members of the Six. At launch, these members will include huge, beastial versions of the Snake, the Oni, the Kitsune, and the Spider. New abilities, better loot, and unlockable cosmetic items for each class will be rewarded to you as you play, making the Legends mode a replayable and addictive addition to the game.

The remaining members of the Six, the Dragon and Lord Saito, will be added to Legends in April, wherein you will complete a larger raid mission that culminates in a battle with the final two members.
