GORN 2 Has Been Revealed For Meta Quest, PC VR And PSVR2 To Scratch That Itch For Gladiatorial Insanity

The arena calls

Publisher Devolver Digital has revealed GORN 2, a sequel to the outrageous VR combat game, coming to Meta Quest, PC VR and PSVR2 in 2025.

For those who aren’t familiar with the original, GORN is a slapstick melee VR combat game that throws you into an arena with comically exaggerated muscular gladiators and a bunch of weapons, ranging from regular to absurd, with the singular goal of violently killing everything in front of you.

As the reveal trailer shows, GORN 2 is more of the hyper-violent, dumb fun that made the original so incredible, now with added insanity and somehow added gore. Developed by a new team, Cortopia, GORN 2 is hilariously set in the heavens, where the souls of all those you killed in the first game now reside, only for you to arrive and kill them all over again. The sequel will feature new weapons (I can’t wait to use the fishing rod), new arenas and enemies, new traps to fling those enemies into, and wild-looking new bosses.

Many VR users will tell you that virtual reality games can make you break a sweat, usually referring to titles like Beat Saber and Synth Riders. For me, nothing was more effective at getting the heart rate up than smashing in heads in GORN. If you own a Meat Quest, PC VR or PSVR2, GORN 2 needs to be on your must-play list. For those looking to snag a PSVR2, keep an eye out, as the price for the headsets is set to drop in the next few weeks.
