After a fun tease, the unthinkable has indeed been confirmed: A first-party Microsoft title will inhabit the world of a PlayStation IP.
The HELLDIVERS 2 x HALO: ODST Legendary Warbond is coming to Helldivers 2 – filled with Halo: ODST-inspired weapons, armour and more.
In reality, it is perhaps the most fitting crossover people could imagine – given how people all said that an ODST-style game in the vein of HD2 would be great. Well, this is about as close as you are going to get – and for many, that will suit them just fine given that the warbond is chock-full of great crossover stuff:
I am unreasonably excited at the prospect of wielding some of these weapons – especially hearing the bass-y BRRT of the incredible assault rifle. Here are the boomsticks making their way to your hot helldiving hands:

Silent and deadly, this SMG is the model ODST’s primary weapon. With caseless ammo and a non-removable suppressor; this weapon is ready to spread FREEDOM to every corner of the galaxy.- M6C/SOCOM Pistol
They say keep your friends close and your sidearm closer. Well, we say that. The standard-issue ODST sidearm is your silent ally in the field -equipped with a built-in laser sight, flashlight, and, for the first time in Helldivers 2, a suppressor to support stealth gameplay. One thing does have players concerned though – and that is the application of the moniker “legendary” when describing the warbond. In a purely cosmetic sense, it could be a fun little descriptor to help sell the hype of what is on offer – but for the more cynical, it could also mean that this package of fun may have a “unique” pricing strategy, which is a fun way of saying it’s gonna be priced a little higher.
Edit: According to listings, this has now been confirmed as the warbond will be priced at 1500 Super Credits, instead of the usual 1000. Good thing those things can be earned in game, so pay what you are willing to part with soldier.
