Much less of a surprise and more of a confirmation, but we can expect more PlayStation titles to make their way to both PS5 and the PC according to staff at Nixxes Software.
In a Sony studio spotlight video, lead engineer Coen Frauenfelder is quoted with saying:
[We’re] also working more and more in creating remasters.
Not entirely shocking, given that since the acquisition of the studio wholly by Sony in 2021 they have had a hand in porting the following ports to the PC:
Curiously, you may be right in commenting that ports and remasters are different things – but the quote from Coen does clearly state remasters as what they are working towards. They acknowledge their pretty stellar PC port record (makes you question why they were not involved with The Last of Us Part I’s PC port) but seems the focus moving forward may involve some past titles being brought up to par with modern platforms.
Does this mean Bloodborne could see a modern release?
Sorry, I could hardly finish that sentence without laughing. But hey! There is always hope.
