Hasbro is adding a bit of presence to the Oz Comic-Con event in Sydney this weekend, with a towering sculpture of everyone’s favourite yellow scout – Bumblebee!
Mike Makatron and Cezary Stulgis from Just Another Agency built the sculpture entirely out of recycled materials, including old car and motorcycle parts – which seems quite fitting for a robot in disguise.
Apart from looking neat, the statue is also stands to celebrate the launch of the current TV show’s fourth and final chapter. Transformers: Bumblebee Cybervsere Adventures first launched in 2018 and has been a pretty nifty modern take on the Transformers mythos. The best part? The episodes are available and FREE to watch via YouTube, on the official Transformers channel, Transformers Official – so if you have even a passing interest (or a child with the right attention span) there are far worse ways to spend your time.
Apparently there will also be items available for fans to procure by visiting the Hasbro area – so you better commit how this metal man appears and keep an eye out for him:
The sculpture will be on show right near the entrance to Artist Alley – so make sure to snap a selfie with the Bumblebuddy!
Tickets to the Sydney Oz Comic-Con are available through the official Oz Comic-Con website with the exhibition suitable for all ages. Oz Comic-Con Sydney takes place at the Sydney Showgrounds on December 4th and December 5th 2021.
