Studio TRIGGER Has Unveiled A Cryptic Teaser For A Transformers Project

The legendary studio is cooking up something cool for the Transformers 40th anniversary

A thirty-second teaser has hit the internet today, revealing that the incredible animation house Studio Trigger is putting together something in celebration of the Transformers 40th anniversary.

This is a wish come true for many, with the signature style of the studio begging to be unleashed on the giant Cybertronian robots – with the teaser offering a ton of familiar faces and friends from the last forty years.

Being realistic, I think the safe assumption is that the Trigger folks are going to produce a promotional video for the franchise’s 40th birthday – given that the recognised figures within the teaser seem to be a mix of different Transformers incarnations.

Keen observers noticed that among the more Generation One styled figures, Transformers: Animated Optimus Prime made a clear appearance:

This could rule out an entire series, if only because it would need to somehow tie all these different versions of the titular toys together.

Maybe a Love, Death + Robots style of shorts highlighting all the best parts of the Transformers’ past? Now I am just getting myself worked up.

We shouldn’t have long to wait, given that the video ends with a clear “COMING SOON”, so keep an eye out for further news as it develops.

What did you spot in the teaser? Any other clues to what we should expect? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
