Lizards And Demons Dominate The Newest Mortal Kombat 1 Reveal Trailer

It’s total Havik

With the EVO 2023 Fighting Tournament wrapping up, amidst the blood and sweat of incredible fighting games rose another incredible Mortal Kombat 1 reveal trailer – filling out the roster further with an old ninja friend and some 3D era superstars.

Reptile is back with a monstrous new form, joined by the demonic Ashrah and the chaotic Havik – taking their place in the roster, and the story mode:

As someone who has long struggled with which Reptile I prefer, I actually love this middle ground where my boy can just be both. Ashrah as a concept of a self-redeeming demon working to better themselves and slowly taking on an angelic appearance absolutely crushes the brief on wicked new character designs – and Havik looks absolutely bonkers. The dude absolutely destroys himself in the pursuit of beating your arse, right down to punching his own hands down to bloody stumps.

We also see some new and returning faces in the Kameo space – with Sareena definitely getting a pop from the kommunity, which I am sure will eventually become a dull roar of complaints that she isn’t immediately playable. We also get another look at super-cop Stryker, who shows off an amazing fatal blow that brings out every  cop toy you can imagine.

It’s incredible to see that these reveals just keep getting more and more crazy – the new era of Mortal Kombat is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to unearthing madcap concepts for returning fighters.
