Developer NetEase has released a slew of gameplay and cosmetic reveal trailers for upcoming Marvel Rivals playable characters, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
Quickly following on from the full reveal of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, gameplay reveals for the first two members of the Fantastic Four family have been dropped, giving us an incredible look at the fantastic elastic man, Reed Richards – and his doting force-field flinging wife, Susan Storm:
Reed Richards has one of the universe's most brilliant minds, but even a genius of his magnitude couldn't have predicted the interstellar incident that bombarded his friends and family with cosmic rays, granting them each extraordinary abilities.

With a brilliant array of rubbery abilities, Mister Fantastic is a duelist within the game – a damage dealing dude who is all about disruption and being flexible. Reed’s elasticity manifests in a cool passive ability that sees the professor gain bonus health with his attacks, so he can stay in the fight for a very long time – while also packing some fun toys such as projectile reflection and using his noodle limbs to slam enemies together.
His ultimate brings the whole springy kit together as Reed shapes himself into a comically-large fist slamming bouncy ball – slamming into the ground and rebounding up to six times as long as enemies are getting hit. Amazing.

"Me? I'm Reed Richards. The ultimate Reed Richards. The one who's finally going to solve everything."

For his debut skin, we get the nefarious villain alter-ego of Reed Richards – where the Ultimate universe version of the hero instead fashioned himself into a terrifyingly sadistic foe, The Maker. As a comic book nerd I have read about a lot of bad guys – but this guy was truly heinous. No spoilers here, well worth a read (Richards).
As for his doting wife, well she has her own bag of amazing visibility tricks – and a debut skin that just may break the internet:
Cosmic rays altered Susan Storm on a cellular level, granting her the ability to generate impenetrable force fields and to make herself fade from sight in an instant. Despite her frequent lack of visibility, it has always been perfectly clear that Sue is the force holding her… pic.twitter.com/ayutwHuKf3

Serving as a Strategist within Marvel Rivals, Sue is all about helping folks out. With a standard healing output, what makes her stand out from the pack is her ability to disappear, and disrupt folks. With a fun ability that pulls enemies towards its centre, and a few ways to vanish herself from enemy sight – the big finale is her ultimate ability that creates a giant cloaking zone for her and her team. While in this massive area, friendly folks will also get healed – while enemies will struggle to pick off important targets, oh boy.
As for her debut skin, well – people assumed that we’d probably get her Malice appearance from all the way back in 1985. However people were not looking forward to it – that outfit is rough. But holy heck, NetEase has somehow finessed into something less than hideous and ready to sell like hotcakes for the hotblooded female form enjoyers. The comments on the internet say plenty about peoples interest.
🔥 Embrace the Mistress of Hate

"If you go any further, after your ultimate defeat at the hands of Malice, mistress of hate..."
Behold Malice, the dark side of the Invisible Woman, as she expresses the raw power and unchecked fury unleashed by her transformation. First… pic.twitter.com/dayaQ2pI13
Butts aside, both Mister Fantastic and The Invisible Woman looks like an absolute blast to play, continuing the Marvel Rivals trend of just throwing everything at a hero to nail the character fantasy, be damned if it will be a nightmare to balance or deal with.
Remember, when everything is bullshit: Nothing is.
