After a few weeks of voracious data-mining and speculation, the developers of Marvel Rivals have thrown a bone to the game’s community to show everyone what comes next – and it is, in a word, fantastic.

Via a social media post, art showing off the awesome Fantastic Four gives us a look at Marvel’s first family – with a tasty promise of a trailer to follow shortly. A key clue within the image also seems to suggest that perhaps a new map will be dropping, with some great New York aesthetics in the art looking a little too developed to just be set dressing.
For us Aussies, we can expect this vid to drop Tuesday, 7 January 2025 at 3AM – so it might be better suited to morning coffee viewing. For me though, the appearance of the helper robot H.E.R.B.I.E. in the image has me asking only two questions.
…Will he be a duelist? When can I main him?
It’s a magnificent step forward for the games first proper content cycle, given the launch content was slimmed down for the sake of its shorter time window. Season 1 looks to be fantastic indeed.
