Konami has revealed Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC on August 27.
When you have a volume one, you’re expecting a volume two at some point, right? Fans of the original Metal Gear Solid games certainly do, and now they’re finally getting it. Announced during this morning’s PlayStation State of Play, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 includes visually improved versions of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, as well as plenty of extra bits and pieces. One such extra will be Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, a version of the original game released in 2000 for the Game Boy Colour.
Added sceranio books and soundtracks are nice to see, but the real appeal of this collection is seeing Guns of the Patriots escape the confines of the PS3 era, and finally become playable on a modern console. Vol.1 was a quality collection that brought together some of Snake’s greatest titles, so the follow-up has been eagerly anticipated.
