The First Teaser Trailer For The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum Has Dropped

More riddles in the dark

Outside of a few screenshots released back in May, we haven’t seen much from The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum. The stealth action-adventure game, currently in development by German studio Daedalic, will see players control the once-Hobbit Gollum as he slinks about in the shadows of Mordor.

We still don’t have many details on the upcoming title, but we have been given a short, good looking teaser trailer to wet our whistles with. The short trailer shows the titular ring-bearer moving through some dimly lit caves before overlooking the evil lands of Mordor. We get a good look at the foreboding Mount Doom, as well as The Tower of Sauron, with the Lidless Eye atop it in the distance.

The game’s aesthetic looks mint and its split personality protagonist has a distinct and solid style, so we look forward to seeing more from the game. For now, give the trailer a watch for yourself:

The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC in 2021.
