THQ Nordic Announces Another Digital Showcase For August, Show Me More Darksiders You Cowards

Feast your eyes on upcoming and unannounced titles

THQ Nordic is a publisher that lives near and dear to my heart – as far as giant faceless conglomerates go, they do some alright work. Helping ferry IP’s like Darksiders, Destroy All Humans and SpongeBob SquarePants from a dusty shelf back into the forefront of storefronts is a noble enough cause – and to follow suit with the current trend of doing big online events to show off new and exciting stuff, they have announced their third THQ Nordic Digital Showcase coming on August 11!

As far as expected titles go, people are hungry for a closer look at both the Gothic remake and the rebooted Alone In The Dark. For unannounced titles, THQ Nordic has something of a reputation for remastered older games so basically anything from their extensive classic library could be on the cards. Some people with discernibly great taste might even be inclined to cross their fingers for some news regarding the TimeSplitters franchise – because that is far from the realm of impossibility.

Personally? I am ready for more Darksiders. The game series is far from withered on the vine – Darksiders Genesis was quite successful – and technically the narrative within the series does suggest another third-person action game needs to round out the stable of Horsemen characters. So come on THQ, chop chop – I am not getting any younger.

Are you excited for the news and reveals to come from the showcase? Any title got you tickled? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
