Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Reveals More Classes, Environments, Enemies And Mechanics

Get your stat sheets ready

Gearbox Software has dropped the second Welcome to the Wonderlands episode, focusing on two new classes, new enemies, new locations and a number of game mechanics that will be found within Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Joining the Stabbomancer and Brr-Zerker that were announced during the first episode, we’ve got our first look at the Spellshot and Clawbringer. The Sepllshot is, you guessed it, a mage type that utilises magic to dispatch enemies. Able to cast spells from both hands with the cleverly named Ambi-Hextrous ability, the Spellshot combines mysticism with good old fashion gun blasting. Oh, and you can polymorph foes into Skeep (alien sheep), so that’s pretty excellent as well.

The Clawbringer is a little more…hands-on. Wielding a mighty hammer, this class can slam their weapon down using the Cleansing Flame ability to wipe out everything in the immediate vicinity or go full-on Thor by throwing the mallet and calling it back to wipe out baddies from a distance. The Clawbringer can also buff their teammates and travels with a tiny little fire-breathing dragon friend.

During this trailer, we get a peek at a few new environments, filled with enemies that are ripe for roasting. The Weepwild Dankness is a cursed forest that’s reclaimed a keep and is infested with slightly adorable mushroom men with razor-sharp teeth.  The Fearamid is, well, a pyramid of fear that’s littered with skeletons and other undead. Lastly, Mount Craw is the snowy home to goblins and trolls and is the centre of a growing revolution, so you’d best pick a side and start shooting.

While Wonderlands isn’t a Borderlands title by name, it’s certainly a spin-off. On that note, you can expect to find a huge variety of guns throughout the campaign, with damage types ranging from Fire, Frost and Lightning to Poison and Dark Magic. Weapons will be sorted into rarities and will be joined by rings, amulets and wards, all of which will provide buffs and special effects to your character.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands releases on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on March 25, 2022.
