Roots In The Sky – The Hand Of Glory 2 Announced; Coming In 2023 To PC And Switch

Rise from your grave

Madit Entertainment and Daring Touch have announced Roots in the Sky – The Hand of Glory 2, the sequel to 2020’s point-and-click adventure The Hand of Glory.

Roots of the Sky is set five years after the events of the first game, with lead protagonist Lazarus ‘Lars’ Bundy working as a private security agent in Rome trying to keep a low profile. Unfortunately, Bundy’s latest client is murdered and in order to clear his name he must solve the case before the police get a chance to investigate. But someone is out to get Bundy, who once again enlists the help of Alice as they go on a mission to uncover the truth about a powerful artifact and an ancient legend about creation itself. You can wishlist the game on Steam here.

Inspired by some of the genre’s classics such as Broken Sword and Gabriel Knight, Roots in the Sky will feature a story that spans several countries including Italy, Palestine, India and Japan, that blends comedy and mystery, as well as having multiple playable characters and a beautiful hand-drawn art style. I reviewed the original game (Part One and Part Two) and enjoyed it, praising the puzzles, story and art style. I’m certainly keen to accompany Bundy on his next adventure next year.

If you want something to whet your appetite before Roots in the Sky, The Blowtorch Files is a free text-based game that sees players assisting Bundy as he attempts to track down a kidnapper causing havoc in Miami.
