Publisher Paradox Interactive and developer The Chinese Room have announced that the release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been pushed back. The game is now scheduled to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in October.
While the last setback pegged the blood-sucking RPG for the first half of 2025, the latest game update video from The Chinese Room has moved that projected launch to October. At this point, we’ve covered the sequel to the cult classic 2004 RPG for six years, usually reporting on delays, the odd trailer, and, oh yeah, a complete change in developer.
That said, I’ve never been more confident in a release announcement related to Bloodlines 2, purely because of the confidence that this update exudes. “The game is currently in a late development stage, and feedback from the community has been taken into account during this time. TCR is working hard on quality assurance to ensure it is stable and free of bugs that could disrupt the player experience.”
Executive Producer Marco Behrmann went as far as saying that “The status of the game right now is that the game is done.” At this point, it appears that The Chinese Room is doing all it can to tighten the experience and squash any bugs before the game sees the light of day later this year.
